Frequently Asked Questions

What insurance do we accept?
At Nutri-Life, we are pleased to announce our current partnership with Medicare, United Health Care (UHC), and Aetna, ensuring our members have access to quality and affordable care. However, we are continuously working diligently to broaden our insurance coverage to cater to the diverse needs of our customers. As we look ahead, our goal is to include more major insurance providers as part of our network. Stay tuned as we strive to enhance your healthcare options and make Nutri-Life services more accessible to you.
Did you know that many people are unaware that they have dietitian consultation sessions as part of their insurance benefits? You may be able to see a registered dietitian as little as $0 per session or a small copay, depending on your insurance plan. It is an amazing benefit that many people could find useful!
Can we be seen if we are from outside of the state?
We aim to provide our services to all who seek our support. We are an insurance-based and self-pay model dietitian private practice, based in Southern California. Due to state laws in licensed RD states, we may not be able to offer telehealth services to individuals in those regions. However, we may be able to conduct telehealth in certain states outside of California. We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist you within the realms permitted by the law. For further questions, please email us at nutrilife.rdn@gmail.com and one of us will be in contact to address any questions you may have.
If I have further questions, how do we reach our RD after the visit?
At Nutri-Life, we are committed to supporting you every step of the way. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your well-being and success on your health journey. Feel free to reach out to us via email or through our secure patient portal with any questions or concerns regarding your personalized plan of care. We are here to address all your inquiries and provide you with the guidance you need. Your health and satisfaction are our top priorities.
What to expect from an initial consultation?
Our consultations typically last between 60 to 90 minutes and can be conducted face-to-face or virtually, depending on your preference.
During the consultation, our experienced dietitian will conduct a thorough assessment to understand your unique needs and goals. We will delve into your medical history, current dietary habits, food preferences, and any health concerns you may have. Your input and ideas are essential as we collaborate to tailor a plan that suits you best.
Based on your concerns and requirements, our approach will be customized to address your specific needs. We provide nutrition education as needed to empower you with knowledge for sustainable lifestyle changes. Together, you and the dietitian will establish achievable goals and a practical plan to guide you toward improved health and wellness.
To ensure continuity and progress tracking, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled.
How often do follow-ups happen?
At Nutri-Life, follow-up visits are essential components of our commitment to our clients' well-being. These sessions generally last 30 to 60 minutes and are tailored to meet each individual's specific progress and needs.
Initially, we encourage more frequent visits—typically every 1-3 weeks—to establish a strong and supportive relationship with our clients.
As progress unfolds, the frequency of follow-ups may evolve, often transitioning to monthly check-ins, then potentially extending to quarterly appointments or as required by the client's condition.
During each visit, our dedicated dietitians perform a comprehensive re-assessment to gauge the client's advancements against the jointly devised plan from the previous meeting. By doing so, we ensure that our clients receive tailored support, ongoing guidance, and access to valuable resources essential in their journey toward improved health and well-being.
Our primary objective is to empower our clients to sustain their health goals successfully and witness tangible progress, fostering a proactive approach to realizing their optimal state of well-being.
